  Brother's Cove, and specifically Kodiak Cabin, met our expectations for our short Sisters' Weekend Getaway. The photos online are a true representation of you get what you see. There was plenty of space, and the cabin atmosphere made us feel like we were really in the mountains. Our view was great for the few times the sun appeared. Although it rained 90% of the time we were there, it did not hamper our gathering of 5 sisters, mom and cousin. The kitchen table easily accomodated 7 guests for dice games and meals. The Hot Tub was a wonderful retreat in spite of the rainy weather (although it would have been nice for the water to get warmer). The bedrooms were spacious and didn't make you feel like you were on top of one another. You could have quiet time in the bedroom, read a book up on the top deck, lounge in the jacuzzi tub, or enjoy the company of others. We felt it was a great place for the price. Be prepared to drive up and down the windy mountain road to the cabin -- we had one get car sick and one vehicle overheat...minor mishaps overlooked by all the other positives!

  Very pleased overall. A really beautiful cabin and view. We were disappointed that we couldn't use the fireplace but pleasantly surprised that the hot tub was warm and ready to get into. There were also plenty of extra towels to use which was nice. Would highly recommend.

  This was a fantastic experience. The true test is not whether everything went perfect but rather how management responds to a problem. Day three our furnace went out. Management responded cheerfully and efficiently. Within the hour our heat was restored. The cabin is beautiful and obviously owned by a military veteran (thank you for your service!). If this place ever goes on the market we will definitely take a shot at purchasing this property.

  The staff at the resort office were always pleasant and very helpful.I mainly talked with
  NancyAnn or Nancy. Very kind and enjoyable to talk with. I wish they would have told us how
  steep the ride was. One of the girls in our group got carsick and had to cancel one of our
  shows. Loved the hot tub. There is really only
  parking for 2 cars with this cabin. The view was spectacular.Loved the stars at night. Had 2 scorpion spiders in our cabin. That was a little disturbing to all. Always allow yourself
  extra time when leaving this cabin and going to
  town for a show or dinner. It will usually take
  you longer than you think. Overall, it was a beautiful cabin and I would go back in a second.The railing on the deck was very loose in a few places.

  The Kodiak has a wonderful view of the mountains. Our favorite part was sitting on the deck relaxing looking at the mountains and listening to the quietness. We also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on the deck. The Kodiak is a very nice house except when it rained, lots of water had leaked from the windows, walls and door. We spent an hour soaking up and cleaning up the water with all of our towels in the house and placing bowls everywhere to catch the rainwater. I would recommend this house to a friend and hope it doesn't rain when they are there! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a bedroom that the outlets didn't work. A staff person came immediately to the house at 10:00 at night to help us find the circut breaker which was in an unusual location. We appreaciated his prompt attention. We would like to come back and rent again from Amerian Mountain Rental at this location and hope that they fix the leaking in the Kodiak for future guests.

  WE HAD A BALL. THE KIDS LOVED WALKING DOWN THE DIRT ROAD BEHIND THE CABIN AND CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN SIDE. MY GRANDSON WHO IS 5 CALLED THE POOL THE COLD POOL AND THE HOT TUB THE WARM POOL. WE ALL INJOYED SITTING OUTSIDE AND ENJOYING THE VIEW.

  Our stay was great. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful mountains and the weather was great except Saturday morning when we planned to go to "Shades of the Past" car show. However, there were a large number on the parkway. We hope we will be able to come again.

  We absolutely loved our stay in Brother's Cove. It was serene, peaceful, beautiful, and a good deal. We were thrilled by the amenities - hot tub on the deck, jacuzzi tubs in the rooms. We loved the decor: a Kodiak bear/eagle/Alaska theme. The furniture was more than adequate to meet our needs. The one thing I would change is the bottom rails on the deck and stairs were not close enough together to the flooring; I felt like I had to keep a hand on my 2-year-old every time she went up or down the stairs or outside on the deck. Overall, I would be more than happy to stay in this area and this rental again. I was thrilled when we could add an additional night at a great price.

  Totally satisfied!! Great view, beautiful cabin, warm service. Without hesitation, I would choose American Mountain Rentals and the Kodiak cabin the next time I visit the Smokies. The cabin had a spectacular view and was perfect for our family. If you want a wide vista of a mountain valley, a deck that can’t be seen from other cabins, and a perfect sunset in the Smokies, don’t hesitate to pick the Kodiak cabin. You will feel like you are almost the only cabin on the mountain. The staff at American Mountain Rentals were great and know how to treat customers. I found out that the cabin was available for one more night after my week and they gave me a fantastic discount to stay the extra night. The staff knows how to earn repeat customers. The Wear Valley is about 25 minutes from the National Park, a nice balance between close and away from it all.

  We have rented several cabins over the years & to date the Kodiak by far has been our best pick. We've had a couple with better views & play areas but none that had the open spaces to accomidate large gatherings. I shopped several comparible cabins in the area & managed to save 25-30% in booking the Kodiak. The few times with left to go to PF it was nice to have the scenic drive down Waldons Creek RD. I look forward to a return visit soon.

  The beautiful cabin had magnificant windows and views from all areas. High up in a gated neighborhood. Kitchen was stocked well enough for basic meals.Hot tub wonderful. Out of town enough to feel like getting away from it all, but easy to get to town. Great company, helpful staff!
