  My husband and I have been visiting Gatlinburg every year and have rented multiple cabins. This is the first cabin that I would return to without hesitation. It is tastefully decorated and very secluded. The hot tub is nice with a great view of the lights of downtown Gatlinburg at night. Yes, as other reviewers have stated, the road leading to the cabin is a bit tricky, but honestly not bad once you do it a couple of times. It is on the opposite side of Gatlinburg (away from the park side), so find your way around the traffic to get to the park. One reviewer said it was within walking distance, but I would have to disagree as I wouldn't want to meet a vehicle coming up the road as I was walking down the road.
  
  As other reviewers stated, the kitchen pots and pans could use some updating, but overall, we cooked breakfast every morning with a little creativity - used a pitcher as a mixing bowl for pancake mix, etc. Luckily I brought my own measuring cups, but the essentials you need are there.
  
  We will definitely be returning to this cabin again next year.

  The lodge house was clean and the condition was good. We enjoyed staying over there. But the entrance of the lodge house was really bad and risky. If you are taking a big suv or pick up truck then the entrance is really risky, they should take care of that.

  We really loved the cabin. The first trip up the mountain was quite an experience but after the shock, the rest of the time was no problem. Our only disappointment was the wood was too wet to be able to build a fire. Next time we will bring wood in when we get there to make sure it has time to dry out. We had an enjoyable stay, wish it could have been longer.

  The road leading to cabin very scary at first!! By second day we were getting used to it!! The kitchen was very well supplied with dishes and pots and pans for a full Thanksgiving dinner!! Love the rooms being at seperate sides to the cabin gives for more privacy!

  This was the second time we stayed here and we absolutely love it! It's close enough to walk to downtown Gatlinburg so you can avoid the traffic and save on parking however its location offers total seclusion! We are already planning our trip for next year and we will defintely stay here then as well! I recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a worry-free, private escape to the mountains!

  Wished the cabin was higher up the mountain. When we come back would like to have one farther up but, just as cozy as Birds Eye View.
  Birds Eye is close to the valley of Gatlinburg but, half way up the mountain perfect view, private and the sound of the stream comeing down the mountain very pleasant and relaxing.

  We saved a good deal of money buying tickets to Dollywood and Stampeed. Also the hottub quit one morning. We called to office at 9am and by 10am a repairman was there to fix the problem. I can highly recomend this company!

  If it is a view that you are looking for you will only have a partial one from the house. However is you are looking for seclusion and a relaxing time than this is the house for you. The house is an open floor plan with one bedroom and bath on the left side of the house and a bedroom and bath on the right side. Each bedroom has a king size bed, TV and access to the deck with the hot tub. Warning I would not recommend a vehicle larger than a small SUV. We have an Envoy and getting up to the house was truely an adventure!

  This cabin is great. It was clean and comfortable, and very close to all the shops & restaurants in town, and also very easy to drive into the National Park. Our kids loved the hot tub, and we all enjoyed hiking in the park and seeing all the waterfalls. We also spotted two black bears out foraging around dinnertime, in the park. Very exciting!

  Nice place, but needs blinds cleaned BADLY!!! Couch and chairs are worn out and very uncomfortable. Several electrical outlets would not work. However, beds are nice and we will go back to this cabin in the future. Nothing can be perfect, but this place is close to it!

  Very nice rental, convenient to the park and just far enough away from downtown Gatlinburg's craziness. Interesting drive up the hill to the cabin, I wonder how anybody can make it up there if there is snow or ice. Being our first time to the area I am sure that there are other rentals with the same type of adventurous drive up to them.

  It was a good stay. The drive to the house was a little steep. The house was older than I'd expected but in decent shape. The open kitchen concept and setup of the 2 rooms was terrific. We enjoyed the hot tub each morning we were there and had an overall good experience.

  Cover had blown off of the hot tub and it needed cleaning. The cabin was nice but the lighting in the bedrooms was not sufficient for reading. Bedrooms (with attached bathroom)being split by the living area was very nice feature.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The cabin was secluded, quiet, and spotless. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub each evening gazing at the moon and stars. The view was somewhat restricted but made for a very private relaxing stay. The American Mountain Rentals staff was very helpful during our stay and we recently booked a large cabin for ourselves and eight family members for another stay in August.

  My family has been going to Gatlinburg every year for the past ten years. This is the most memorable because when we arrived my daughter, who was 4 at the time, walked out on the deck to see the hot tub and when we looked down there was a live bear. My mother and husband both saw it. We had never seen a bear before in the wild. It was eating what looked like honeysuckle off one of the plants below the deck. The bear looked up at us and just wandered back into the woods. It was absolutely amazing. Not many people can say they have seen a bear in the wild and I feel very fortunate that my daughter was able to see it. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. No steps to climb which was good for my parents. The rooms were very spacious and it was so nice to be able to enter onto the deck from your room. The washer and dryer came in handy too! We would definitely recommend this cabin to a family or two couples. Be sure to have a 4 x 4 during the winter months. I've never been in a vehicle that goes straight up and has a 180 degree curve. The view was awesome!
